Psychiatrist - Correctional Medicine

Rusk, Texas

Two Full-Time Openings

Base Salary Approaching $300,000

MASC Medical is recruiting two full-time psychiatrists for direct-hire positions in Rusk, Texas.

These are on-site positions within a correctional healthcare setting. Previous forensic psychiatry experience is required.

The psychiatrists will provide ongoing care for adult patients while working alongside an established multidisciplinary clinical team. The positions are available immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations
  
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions
  
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
  
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
  
• Respond to changes in patients’ psychiatric conditions
  
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and behavioral health professionals
  
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
  
• Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency
  
• Texas medical license or ability to obtain one
  
• Previous forensic psychiatry experience
  
• Ability to practice effectively within a correctional healthcare environment
  

Compensation and benefits:

• Base salary approaching $300,000
